Job Postinggpac, a recruiting firm with 30+ years in business, is partnered with a well-established company in the structural steel and metals fabrication industry in the Milwaukee, WI area. Our client is seeking a Detailing / Drafting leader to manage the detailing group and deliver accurate drawings on schedule.Position Responsibilities:Manage in-house detailers and outside detailing partnersPlan and schedule detailing work to meet project needsMaintain drawing quality, standards, and checking processesCoordinate with project managers, engineers, and the shopManage detailing budgets and resource allocationPosition Essential Job Functions:Assign projects and track detailing progressReview and check drawings and modelsResolve RFIs and design conflicts with project teamsDevelop detailing standards, templates, and best practicesTrain and mentor detailersPosition Skills:5+ years of structural steel detailing experienceExperience leading detailers or managing detailing projectsExpert in Tekla Structures or SDS2Strong knowledge of AISC standards and connection design conceptsStrong organization and communication skillsBenefits:Competitive salary of $35 - $43 per hourComprehensive health insuranceRetirement plan with company matchPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development opportunitiesTo apply, contact Clint Long at clint.long@gogpac.com or 605-370-5504.
